This project is very long term. The plan is to build a Vincent custom Black Shadow / Black Lightning from scratch, using new, modern manufacture components where it will benefit performance, safety, and reliability. For all else, I plan to use vintage components that still wear the marks of their age: rust, dents, stickers, etc. the hope is that I don’t end up with a shiny, anonymous piece of Vincent Lawn Candy, but something retaining some history and character, however cobbled together it may be.

The frame is an original 1951 Black Lightning unit. The crank cases are new production, ordered from Andy Molnar in the UK. Crank is a special build by Terry Prince in Australia, as are both heads. Total displacement should be 1220cc. Bottom end was assembled in Colorado by Sam Mangarano.
